1.Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses BookMyDentist, whether you are a patient, a dentist, a practice or a member of practice staff. By using the platform, you agree to follow these rules.
These rules exist to keep BookMyDentist safe, honest and welcoming for everyone. This policy works alongside our Terms and Conditions.
2.Respect Others
Treat everyone on the platform with respect. You must not engage in any of the following towards practitioners, practice staff or other patients:
- Harassment, bullying or abuse
- Threats or intimidation
- Hate speech
- Discriminatory behaviour of any kind
3.Honest Use
You must use BookMyDentist honestly. You must not:
- Provide false or misleading information
- Make fraudulent bookings
- Post fake, misleading or paid-for reviews
Only leave a review for care you have actually received.
4.Account Security
Your account is yours alone. You must:
- Never share your login credentials with anyone
- Keep to one account per person
- Keep your password secure
You are responsible for all activity that takes place on your account.
5.No Misuse of the Platform
You must not misuse or interfere with the platform. In particular, you must not:
- Scrape, crawl or use automated access of any kind
- Attempt to bypass our security or access other users' data
- Upload viruses or malicious code
- Reverse engineer any part of the platform
6.Lawful and Appropriate Content
Any content you upload must be lawful and appropriate. You must not upload content that is:
- Illegal, harmful, obscene or defamatory
- Infringing on the rights of others
Clinical photos must only be relevant to your own dental care.
7.Consequences
If you break these rules, we will normally follow a clear escalation process:
- Warning — we let you know and ask you to stop
- Temporary suspension — we pause your access
- Permanent termination — we close your account
Serious or illegal behaviour may be reported to the relevant authorities and may result in immediate termination without prior warning.
